  • laura dekker - the netherlands

Laura is the youngest person sailing around the world. By chance she tried MiniCat and said on her website:

  • "...Yesterday, I saw someone assembling a Mini-Cat. A really small, inflatable catamaran. My sister and I went over and we asked if we could have a sail with it. Well, we did and are just back. It was very funny. It sails extremely well if you keep in mind that it is an inflatable catamaran........Kim and I also went sailing with the Mini-Cat again. The wind blew pretty strong and we sailed really super-super fast. Even Kim started to like it!! Normally she does not like sailing too much."

"…Not long ago, I wrote that I sailed with an inflatable mini-catamaran with my sister. Due to some coincidences, I will be the owner of my very own mini-catamaran soon, and then I will enjoy speeding around even when lying at anchor.

  • I will do a little bit of advertising: It sails really well and it is very fast. It is easy to assemble and the boat is very well thought out so you do not need much storage space if you are not living near to the sea. It can be carried along in one big bag. Usually advertisements are very much exaggerated but this one really says it like it is.I have seen and sailed numerous inflatable catamarans and this one really stands above them all."

  • paul klabost - spain

"….what a great boat, I have my MiniCat at my flat in Spain, I keep it in the cupboard and can now sail even when I'm only there for a couple of days. I'm really surprised how responsive it is to sail and what fun it is… just what I was looking for, but never knew existed! Thanks for your help and the prompt delivery…"

"With virtually no overheads, such as mooring fees or the cost of a trailer, this is a very cheap way of owning a small boat. Small enough to fit in a large deck locker or possibly below a bunk, the MiniCat would also be a fun addition aboard any cruising yacht. With the ability to sail in as little as 30cm of water it has the potential to offer a platform for exploring remote areas of shallow coastline without disrupting the environment."

  • Neil Chapman - Boatshed.com

"an exciting product… a product that I think the market has been needing for some time..."

  • Ben Sutcliffe - UK

…."it does exactly what it says on the tin…."

  • Roxanna Maynard - Themainsail.com

"Even without a huge amount of wind, the MiniCat sits so high in the water due to the inflatable design that it wasn't long before I was belting across the lake. The robust 3.1 meter Valmex floats allows you to sail right up on to the shore, without fear of damaging the vessel. And after a swift 20 minutes' dismantling, we put the cat in the bag and were done for the day."
